Whether you’re relocating your existing furniture or purchasing furniture for your new space, Sher-Del Transfer can disassemble, and reassemble anything from a simple desk to common area cubicles. We can also install office furniture, file cabinets and steel shelving units.

Move Planning

One of Sher-Del’s qualified project managers will coordinate a date with the customer to meet and discuss the move plan for your upcoming relocation. The process includes setting up a floor plan, helping customer decide what will be relocated and what can potentially be purged.

Customers must make sure that all insurance requirements are met and up to date with the buildings they are moving out of and moving into. Freight elevators must be booked ahead of the move dates in all buildings to avoid any impediment with the relocation. IT must be disconnected and reconnected by third party. Check with leasing companies for any printers, faxes, coffee machines, water machines or any other product that is contracted out. Leasing companies may require to have their own team relocate items.

Purge Campaign

There is no reason to move files, documents and/or boxes that can otherwise be disposed prior to move day. Sher-Del Transfer can assist in organizing a Purge campaign. We can supply fully mobile and secure document shred bins that, once loaded can be carted away to a certified paper shredding and recycling facility.

Tagging

Upon completion of floor plan numbering, one of Sher-Del’s supervisors will arrive at your current occupied space and assist with tagging all items for relocation. This includes, computers, furniture, file banks, and boxes. Once your current location is marked and tagged, our supervisor will put up spot tags/placards at the new location. This will ensure your workers have no trouble finding their new work space.

Packing

We are specialists in moving today’s businesses. Like you, we recognize that your computers, peripherals and other technology equipment are essential to your company’s continued productivity. That’s why we take every possible precaution to protect your company’s assets.

Before we move them, your computers are individually blanket wrapped and placed in specialized computer moving bins that are mounted on dollies. Monitors are placed into bubble wrap bags and then placed in the bin along with the computer. Each keyboard, mouse, cable and connector is packed in a zip lock bag, marked and placed with its corresponding computer and monitor. Once the bins are filled they are sealed to provide security and to avoid shifting or tilting during transport.

They are then transported to your new facility where they are placed in their designated locations. Other technology equipment is handled with the same care and attention to detail. In regard to all your electronic equipment, we ask that prior to pick-up you make certain to unplug all machines and secure cords as needed.

File allocation and moving your library records is a very important task. Sher-Del’s team that specialize in file allocation. During the tagging process our supervisor takes the time to review with the customer file bank capacity to determine what can be brought over to the new location. All filing cabinets and library shelves in the customer’s current space and new office are labeled with matching pre-printed tags so the Sher-Del team has a matching list to cross reference.

Pre-Moving Planning

During a very large relocation, Sher-Del Transfer can offer pre-move services prior to your main move; this will create a seamless transition into your new office. Pre-move services include tagging current space with pre-printed labels, configuring floor plan with customer for new space, floor and wall protection of your new space, relocating employees’ personal content and non-essential items before the main move to avoid any potential delays.

Property Protection

After moving into a new space, customers and building managers don’t like finding new scratches/holes in their walls, ceilings or floors. Before the move-in process Sher-Del does an extensive floor and wall protection according to the guidelines of the building. This includes Masonite, Coroflex and corner guards to prevent any damage. Once the relocation is complete, Sher-Del removes all floor and wall protection from the new office.

On move day Sher-Del Transfer arrives with its professional staff and gets right to work. Starting in the morning, Sher-Del Transfer is preparing furniture, Technology and customer’s documents to be relocated.

Abiding by building guidelines, as soon as Sher-Del Transfer is granted access to remove items from origin, we are moving in a quick and decisive manner to keep your relocation on time and within budget. Upon completion of the move out, we perform a complete walk through with our client to make sure nothing has been left behind.

At the destination Sher-Del Transfer has a team on hand to properly place all incoming items to their correct location. Our staff will follow the guidelines and floor plan set up by its project manager and supervisor before the move.

Post Move Services

Upon completion of your relocation from your old office to your new home, upon request Sher-Del Transfer will send back a team of men to help finalize placing your items/furniture, organizing your office and unpacking your files, libraries and storage rooms. We will also remove all unwanted materials and equipment from your new location to finalize the transition.

Anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of years we can store furniture, module stations, computers, or anything in between in our storage pods.
